iTu­nes and the LP format

Yay, iTu­nes is really boost­ing the digital album as a product with their new iTu­nes LP format.

While we were hop­ing to see Apple push the quality of the audio files even fur­t­her the albums relea­sed so far are in a 256kbps AAC format. The int­erest­ing part is that Apple is using emerg­ing CSS tricks such as ani­mation to enhance the experience. Somehow the whole thing seems to be very DVD menu like and one wond­ers if it is slated for the TV/computer mer­ger that seems imminent.
